Hiya, your tame resident snail here. I'm here to tell you about a random new internet game called pandemic 2, which I have played and enjoyed (and beaten! Eat that humanity!). I will not post a link, go ahead and find it on your favourite free games website. Anyway, the aim of the game is to use your disease to destroy all humans. Yep. It really is that simple. To start with you name your virus (popular names include "Christianity", "Being gay" and "Playing Runescape") and choose what type it will be. You then spend the next 20 minutes trying to evolve your virus and defeat humanity. It's pretty simple - but very hard to beat. You have to get that stealth/ catching ratio just right ;) Anyway, here are some hints/ unhelpful taunts: Greenland are idiots in this game (we have 200 living people left! We're still not gonna do anything about this virus though...) Madagascar... good luck infecting it. Governments panic even when your disease does nothing - like in real life. Once a country locks its borders and you ain't got in, you can't win. Watch out for the vaccine! Anyway, enjoy. If this is spam or breaks the rules, I will edit it to: OMG! WHEN IS BOMTOWN COMIN OUT! or ZOMFG! WHY U COMPLAINING ABOUT BOOMTOWN or ROFL! UR ALL NOOBS! Beat it. Got the t-shirt. A day before I saw this thread. It's best to just restart until you start in Madagascar, methinks. I've never had it work, personally. Those few times when they got the vaccine working in time. I thought I’d play it smart by making my virus symptom free so it could infect the world undetected then I’d strike releasing deadly symptoms. So how come they can detect a invisible virus with no symptoms?!?! And further more they can still make a vaccine blind! ---------------------------------------- Im iiNCReDiiBly good at this Game |

He does have a valid point, they panic a lot (like in real life). It won't if you spread veeerrrryyyy slowly... and remember to sell your first symptom (that dramaticly reduces the panic). Yep. I will go ahead and post the guide. Spoilers! There's a way of beating it without starting in madagascar. You have to be a parasite class, sell your symtom and buy level 1 drug, heat, moisture and cold (YES! ONLY LEVEL 1! I can't stress that enough). You then buy waterborne and airborne. Don't buy anything else or the governments will panic. Wait about 10 minutes, and everywhere will be infected with a totally harmless virus that does nothing (if it spreads that slowly, they don't panic). No borders will close, no panic will start (except in India... weird). Wait till every country is infected, then buy necrosis, heart failure, liver failure and every other lethal thing. This is where the fun begins. Every country immediately locks down everything (it's too late). Half of the worlds population dies overnight, and a vaccine starts being developed. However, soon, Greenland is the only place with an open hospital, and it will die quickly. From then on, just laugh evily and add a few extra random stuff. ---------------------------------------- If you're like me, then you should probably seek help. NOW. Start a new game if you begin in Peru. There’s only one-way to spread the disease is by crossing borders as there is no ports or airports in Peru. Which means u would have to wait till Mexico, Brazil and Argentina are over infected to be able to spread it round the world using there ports etc. by that time Peru is badly infected and telling the rest of the world to close its borders and ports. ---------------------------------------- Im iiNCReDiiBly good at this Game |

If you're an old player, you may wonder why this thread has suddenly been bumped back to the top. Well, here's the answer: a new Pandemic game is here. It is not Pandemic 3. The game is a spinoff called "Pandemic: American Swine" (yes, it's a pun). In this game you play not as the virus, but as the medical services/ leaders of the United States, and your goal is to halt the spread of Swine Flu and prevent too many deaths. There are some spelling mistakes in the game, and currently no fast forward feature. The best way to win is to get the vaccine and try and roll it out to as many people as you need to win. I've currently only completed the game on easy mode with the standard government, so don't ask me for help on any later stages for now. Edit: Now done hard mode with standard government, and just two days to spare. Phew. It all went fairly well, cept I totally messed up in Florida and just had to barricade it and write 10 million or so residents off. ---------------------------------------- If you're like me, then you should probably seek help.
